Community Center

Community Center.png

On December 9th we unveiled renderings of an inclusive, sustainable, and energy efficient wellness center which were presented by graduate students from RIT's Golisano Institute for Sustainability Department of Architecture; led by Professor and Architect, Julius J. Chiavaroli.

These gifted scholars brought to life a wellness facility that features inclusion, architectural beauty, and environmental consciousness. The plans for this fully accessible facility include community classroom spaces, a pool, gymnasium, track, fitness center, and playground. There are also plans for a wellness center which will provide mental health services, and alternative medicine.

A capital campaign is underway for our strategic planning, and we welcome your feedback, creative ideas, and financial support. It takes a community to build wellness for all. Please join the community in welcoming this vision, for the future of Farmington and surrounding areas, where individuals from 6 counties will benefit.

In our 40-year history, the continued growth and trust of our excellences in education, the arts, and community enrichment are recognized by many. We feel it is our responsibility to continue to provide beautiful spaces and educational experiences for the entire population.

Cobblestone Arts Center's philosophy has always been wanting to bring the arts to the community.  We see a need and  envision bringing a community center to the Farmington area.  We envision an inclusionary space consisting of a pool, gym/track, workout facility, library, and playground. Everything in this inclusive and sustainable community center will include adaptive equipment including an inclusionary playground.  This 90,000 square foot building of community space will be open to adults and children of all ages and abilities.  The space will be able to offer classes for music, dance, theater, and visual arts; as well as bringing other art forms to the center such as martial arts, sewing classes, etc.
