Join musicians from Chamberfest Canandaigua for a joyful Suzuki play-in featuring special guest artists: Amy Sue Barston, Audrey Andrist, and Katie Lansdale.

​

Violinists and cellists of all ages and experience levels are invited to play side-by-side with these internationally celebrated musicians in a collaborative performance of favorite pieces from the Suzuki repertoire.

Based on the philosophy developed by Shinichi Suzuki, the Suzuki “Mother Tongue” approach treats music like language acquisition: students build their musical vocabulary through a shared repertoire learned by musicians around the world. Because of this common musical language, Suzuki students can come together and play instantly—even if they’ve never met before.

This special event celebrates the joy of making music together, bringing students and professionals into the same room for an inspiring, community-centered musical experience.
